warp.volume_index_to_world_dir#

warp.volume_index_to_world_dir(
id: uint64,
uvw: vec3f,
) vec3f#
  • Kernel

  • Python

  • Differentiable

Transform the direction uvw from the volume’s index space to world space using the linear part of the volume’s affine transform.

Translation is not applied and the result is not renormalized, so a scaling transform changes the vector’s length. For positions, use volume_index_to_world() instead.

Parameters:
  • id – The id of a warp.Volume.

  • uvw – Direction in index space.

Returns:

The transformed direction in world space with float32 precision.

See volume_index_to_world() for a usage example.

warp.volume_index_to_world_dir(
id: uint64,
uvw: vec3d,
) vec3d
  • Kernel

  • Python

  • Differentiable

Transform the direction uvw from the volume’s index space to world space using the linear part of the volume’s affine transform (float64 precision).

The float64 overload of volume_index_to_world_dir(). Behavior and usage match the default float32 overload; see it for details and a usage example.
