warp.config.legacy_scalar_return_types#

warp.config.legacy_scalar_return_types: bool = False#

Use legacy scalar return types from built-in functions and indexing.

When False (the default), built-in function calls and vector/matrix indexing return Warp scalar instances (e.g. warp.float64, warp.int16) that match the input types. The types warp.int32, warp.float32, and warp.bool are aliases for Python’s int, float, and bool, so those continue to return Python built-in values.

Set to True to restore the pre-1.12 behavior where all scalar operations return Python built-in types (int, float, bool).
